The Spokane Orphan Summit Team
Jason and Emmy WiensJason Wiens was minding his own business when he sensed that God might be calling him to help lead an adoption/fostering ministering at his church. He considered himself the least likely candidate to be starting this ministry at Christ the Redeemer, but God had other plans for he and Emmy. Together they have spent hours encouraging and equipping parents through the adoption journey.
He founded and led the Off the Wall ministry over five years. Then he began a dream with a group of fellow Christians and was the co-leader of the Spokane Orphan Summit for the first four years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors with Inland Orphan Partners. Jason and Emmy are proud parents to six children through birth and adoption. |
The Summit Planning TeamOver 30 different people have played an instrumental role in organizing and implementing the summit each year. Each month, the team meets to discuss speakers, fundraisers, schedules and more. Representing churches, adoption non-profits and fostering organizations, the team has used their various gifting to selflessly serve to put on this conference.
The team consists of adoptive and foster parents who are excited about encouraging other like-minded parents as well as those who are desiring to learn more about fostering or adopting. The team also consists of advocates for orphans who want to help others learn how be advocate for orphans in the inland area. Whether you are wanting to learn more about fostering or adopting, be encouraged in your fostering/adopting journey or learn how to advocate for orphans in the inland northwest, you will not want to miss the annual Spokane Orphan Summit.
